PlayStation Plus users can grab a load of time-limited freebies right now for one of 2024’s biggest games.
There are many reasons to sign up for PlayStation Plus and the free games are only just a small part of it.
Sure, they might be the main reason alongside online multiplayer and cloud saves. But in addition to these, you can also unlock exclusive DLC packs for certain multiplayer games.
Activision is currently running a free DLC pack for PlayStation Plus owners to redeem for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which currently also has an ongoing free trial.

Between 9th-16th October, PlayStation is running a free trial for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The entire game is available here, meaning you can play campaign, multiplayer, and zombies as much as you want until the 16th.
Meanwhile, the Call of Duty: Warzone PlayStation Plus Pack 3 is also available to redeem for free, and may be used by all players experiencing the free trial.

The pack includes the following items unlocked for use in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6:
- 2x Operator skins
- 3x Weapon blueprints
- Finishing Move
- Weapon Charm
- 2x Loading Screens
- Spray
- Large Decal
- Double XP Token (1 hour)
- Double Weapon XP Token (1 hour)
Considering this free trial coincides with the launch of Battlefield 6, I’d imagine this is Activision’s way of retaining some of the playerbase for Black Ops 6. It also may be drumming up hype for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which launches in November.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched back in October 2024, and was the seventh main entry in the Black Ops sub-series. In our review of the campaign, we scored the game 8/10 and said it was “a blast from start to finish, and provides some of the best moments that this series has to offer.”
In related news, Activision recently ran a free open beta week for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, but players were disappointed to see that cheaters had already infiltrated the beta.
Activision responded by banning the reported hackers, and confirmed that its anticheat system known as Ricochet was not available in the beta, but will be available in the full game at launch.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will release on 14th November, 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
