At least 13 games are set to leave Sony's PlayStation Plus service this month, and a few of them are incredibly well received titles that you should definitely check out while you still have the chance.

As pointed out by True Trophies' Sean Lawson, several titles are set to leave both PS Plus Premium and PS Plus Extra on August 20th. This includes the likes of games such as NBA 2K24, Trials of Mana, Sea of Stars, Lost Judgment, and Destroy All Humans.

For those of you that haven't had a chance to check out Sea of Stars yet, I personally could not recommend it enough. After initially launching in August last year, Sea of Stars went on to amass universal acclaim and currently sits at a 97% rating on OpenCritic.

It's a fun, Golden Sun inspired romp and definitely deserves more eyes on it. Given that it seems you've got roughly 12 days left to play through it before it leaves PS Plus Extra, I'd say you've got more than enough time left to complete it in its entirety (given that it took me roughly 30 hours to complete it).

Lost Judgment was also a bit of an overlooked banger, released back in 2021 by developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (of Yakuza fame) and publisher Sega.

Lost Judgment is a sequel to the 2018 game Judgment, which is in itself a spin-off of the Yakuza games. It controls a lot like your standard Yakuza title, with more of a focus on its investigative gameplay over its beat-'em-up style combat.

It also features a Shiba Inu called Ranpo who you can take on walks and helps you solve crimes. Do you really need any more reason to play it?

If you're too late to get around to these two titles before they leave, then I definitely recommend picking them up on the cheap and playing them regardless. Games that leave PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium do have a habit of going into sale not long after, so keep an eye out for any future PlayStation storefront sales.
