PlayStation gamers are urged to check out this ‘badass’ release that you can download and play for free today.

Whether we’ve had a stressful day at work, school or within the confines of our home, there’s nothing quite like blowing off some steam playing our favourite video games whether we game on PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo.

Check out the Dynasty Warriors: Origins trailer below!

Perhaps no genre allows us to vent our frustrations quite like ‘hack and slash’ with franchises such as God of War, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta being regular go-to’s. One other franchise that can be added to that list is Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors.

Originally released on PlayStation in 1997, the Dynasty Warriors series has always flawed fans with the incredible number of enemies that you can slay on the screen, regardless of the generation.

Its most recent entry, Dynasty Warriors: Origins takes all of what made previous games great and cranks it up tenfold resulting in pure button-bashing bliss.

In our review of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, we said: “The storytelling felt concise and easy-to-follow, the gameplay was endlessly entertaining, and it never felt like I was stepping into unknown territory, so I could learn and experiment with no fear.”

We’re not the only ones impressed by Dynasty Warriors: Origins, because gamers on Reddit are too.

“I haven't played a Dynasty Warriors game in a long time and the amount of soldiers on-screen at once is overwhelming,” said ComfortableAmount993, sharing an epic gameplay clip.

“That actually looks badass, not gonna lie," replied Chief_Queef_88.

“Looks pretty cool <goes off to download the demo>,” said joeman013.

“Dynasty Warriors: Origins, one of the best games I've played in 2025,” stated Igzyx.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It also has a free playable demo for all available platforms.
