PlayStation gamers, you can grab over 400 hours worth of new free games this month

This month’s Playstation Plus Extra games will drop next week on 20 February, and will keep you occupied for over 400 hours if you play them all.

Yesterday, the next batch of PlayStation Plus games was announced online, and while at first glance it looked to be a bit of a mixed bag, there are some quality additions on the way depending on what kind of gamer you are. The game that stands out the most is obviously Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, arguably the weakest game in the Assassin’s Creed series but a worthwhile game for RPG fans.

Check out Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla below.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and eight other games will join the service this month, including; Need For Speed Unbound, The Outer Worlds, Tales Of Arise, LEGO Jurassic World, LEGO Worlds, Roguebook, Rogue Lords and finally, Tales Of Zestiria.

While some of the new additions aren’t the most exciting games to be added to PlayStation Plus Extra so far, there are some hidden gems in there. Additionally, we’ve done the maths and can confirm there’s over 400 hours of content in that selection at no additional cost , which sounds like a pretty good deal to us.

Fans are happy with the line-up too, with one PlayStation user saying: “Hell yeah for Outer Worlds and Tales of Arise. Two games I've really wanted to play.” Others praised the Assassin’s Creed inclusion, saying, “Wow nice, never played Valhalla, good one!”

Some also view it as a promising sign of things to come, especially since some of the recent PlayStation Plus updates have been absolutely dire when it comes to good games. One user said, “Great line up to be honest. I had shown the leak to my friend and was like, ‘I'm not believing this leak considering the PS+ Extra standards lately,’ hence it did surprise me.”

Things are definitely looking up for PlayStation fans, and depending on tonight’s Xbox announcement there could be even more games coming to the console in the coming months.
