With the weekend upon us, I doubt many of us would turn our noses up at some free store credit.

Luckily, this handy trick will not only see you rewarded with some free store credit for PlayStation, but you could also get a Game of the Year contender out of it at the same time.

Check out the official reveal trailer for Split Fiction below!

The game in question is Split Fiction, a brand-new co-op adventure from the creators of It Takes Two and A Way Out.

Despite only being released last week, Split Fiction has already become a Game of the Year contender after finding itself achieving a 91% score on Metacritic, which is higher than Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds.

Our very own Kate Harrold and Sam Cawley loved the latest multiplayer adventure from Hazelight Studios and awarded it a 10/10 in their review.

“Split Fiction has a wow factor that’s surprisingly hard to come by, despite how advanced consoles now are. Hazelight didn’t just set out to make a great game; it’s a great game that dares to push the boundaries of what this generation can be," they wrote.

Now players can get their hands on the game at a discounted price thanks to this neat little trick.

At the moment, Split Fiction costs £44.99 on the PlayStation 5. However, if you head to this CD Keys link, you can instead grab a £50 PlayStation store card for just £43.99.

That means you will be able to purchase Split Fiction on PlayStation and also have some change left over towards your next purchase.

To redeem the gift card after purchasing, simply head to your emails and copy the code to use in the PlayStation Store.

So there you have it! Not only can you grab Split Fiction at a discounted price but you will also have some credit left. Win win, right?
