PlayStation announces free store credit you can claim for April

Grab those points before it's too late

Another week, another way to earn yourself some PlayStation free store credit and this time, you will have to enlist some friends to help.

Courtesy of Sony’s PlayStation Stars loyalty scheme, members can team up with friends throughout April to earn themselves some free points.

Monster Hunter Wilds is one of the eligible titles this time around!

In return, those points can be exchanged for free store credit in the shape of gift cards, and what is better than a brand-new game? A free one.

For those unaware of PlayStation Stars, it is a free-to-join membership scheme for console users who wish to take part in a variety of different challenges and campaigns in order to earn points.

Challenges range from buying or playing certain games so it is always worth checking which ones are available before you make your next purchase or boot up one of your pre-owned titles.

One of its latest campaigns is called Multiplayer Mayhem and is worth 50 points.

“Multiplayer games allow us to unite and cooperate in the spirit of camaraderie and solidarity,” the official challenge description reads.

“And also to betray our friends. Ah, delicious, delicious betrayal.”

All you have to do to earn 50 points is play one of the following multiplayer games: Monster Hunter Wilds, WWE 2K25, or Street Fighter 6.

Just make sure you activate the campaign before you begin and the points will be yours (providing you are also a PS Stars member!)

So which should you pick?

Personally, I’d go for Monster Hunter Wilds which our very own Sam Cawley called “simply breathtaking”.

“All in all, I was incredibly impressed with Monster Hunter Wilds,” his review read.

“As my first expedition into this world it ticked every box for me, and I especially valued its ability to teach and nurture newcomers like myself, but also allow plenty of opportunity to experiment and make some mistakes, failure is the greatest teacher after all.”
