PlayStation releases free PS5 download you won't need PS Plus for

A freebie for everyone (well, so long as you have a PlayStation)

Not a PlayStation Plus subscriber? No problem, you don’t need to be to take advantage of this freebie.

Obviously if you’re a PS Plus member that’s not an issue here either, just know that we’re trying to help out the non-subscribers among you first.

It’s only fair. After all, they get less free downloads than you do.

Who doesn't want to play more Astro Bot? Certainly not us!

Now, in the name of full transparency, this freebie isn’t any form of collectible or free store credit.

We have other articles about such matters, but this isn't one of them.

Now we've cleared that up, it's time for the main event: PlayStation users can download a free download for Astro Bot.

If you’ve somehow missed all the reviews (ours included) praising the exceptionally brilliant game that is Astro Bot, you need to sort that out.

Once you’ve done that, come back to this article to make sure your version of the game is up to date.

For those who’ve already discovered the joys of this “all-time great of stratospheric proportions”, then make sure you update your game now.

Doing so will get you the ‘Spring-boarded Run’.

Twitter user @GermanStrands responded, “Let’s goooooooo!”

On Reddit, one fan joked, “This is gonna be a long day waiting for my shift to end lol.”

Thankfully, the weekend is finally upon us, leaving us with enough time to properly enjoy this latest update.

This isn’t the only new challenge that’ll be joining the game – more are on the way in the coming weeks.

“I kinda like the weekly release, kind of a unique experience for me at least. Jump in for a few fun mins every week,” commented ContentKeanu.

User @cyberwitherik remarked, “My daughter and I are excited every Thursday for these new speed runs! But we need more content than just a 45 sec run.”

We’d love to see longer content as well, however, until that happens we’ll make do with what PlayStation is offering.
