The start of a new year always feels hard, yet there are ways to make January more manageable.

One such option available to you comes via the ample selection of free PlayStation downloads.

A long list of freebies await you on the PlayStation Store, and so we’ve cherry-picked a handful of them to highlight what you’re missing out on.

The downloads are demos, not full games. Nonetheless, when you’re in a gaming rut, they provide the perfect way to figure out what you should play next.

Death Come True is the first of these free downloads we want to bring to your attention.

Can you survive in Slitterhead?

This interactive game gives you cinematic quality, but with you helping to shape how the narrative plays out.

“The choices you make propel the story forward.”

Exciting, no?

If that doesn’t take your fancy, there’s also a demo for Slitterhead.

While the neon lights of the city offer a somewhat vibrant backdrop, some dangers lurk here. Worst of all, they’re disguised as humans.

It’s up to you to discover the terrible secrets of this world, hopefully without losing yourself to the monsters hiding in the shadows.

From the creepy to the small, we head to Empire of the Ants, an unusual game that’s garnered much praise from players.

Divide and conquer in this photorealistic game in which legions of ants fight for you.

We’ll finish up with a retro inspired experience that those with a need for speed will appreciate.

Rally Arcade Classics allows you to tap into the nostalgia of old school racing games.

There are 48 tracks to test your skills on, so buckle up and prepare to hit the gas pedal.

These are just four of the various free downloads available.

Make sure to browse further when you visit the PlayStation Store to avoid missing out on more hidden gems.
