PlayStation Plus free games for January 2025 announced

New year, new offerings

It is a brand-new year and to celebrate the arrival of 2025, Sony has already revealed the next exciting titles heading to PlayStation Plus this month.

With Christmas having just passed, it is safe to assume that the gamer in your life has quite a few titles to get stuck into over the coming month.

Check out some gameplay from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League below!

However, are you truly a gamer if you do not have a backlog the length of your arm?

That is why Sony is already here with January’s PlayStation Plus picks which will be available for all Premium, Extra and Essential members from the 7 onwards.

So without further ado, let us take a look at the titles available throughout the new month.

First up we have Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a 2024 action-adventure shooter game from Rocksteady Studios.

As a spin-off from the Batman: Arkham series and a follow up to Batman: Arkham Knight, Kill the Justice League was one of 2024’s most disappointing launches but that seemingly hasn’t stopped Sony from adding it to the PS Plus batch this month.

Riddled with bugs, microtransactions and a short and unadventurous campaign, Kill the Justice League won’t be winning an award anytime soon but it still could be a fun free game to grab nonetheless.

Next is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, a “timeless racing experience” which is updated for today’s generation of hardware, complete with enhanced visuals, cross-platform multiplayer and all additional DLC.

Last but certainly not least is The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, an “expanded reimagining” of the award-winning indie game first released in 2013.

In this first-person exploration game, players will take on the role of Stanley, or will they?

“You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The game will end, the game will never end.”

You may be confused, but it is definitely worth going into this one with ignorance.

As mentioned, all of these titles will be available for PlayStation Plus members from 7 January onwards.
