PlayStation exclusive finally lands on PC via free download

Finally...

PC players have a new PlayStation exclusive to play, starting with a free download to get you interested.

When it launched last year Stellar Blade amazed players with its gorgeous world design and quickstep combat, though it also attracted a different crowd of gamers who just wanted to thirst over the game’s main character, Eve.

Thirstiness aside it was a hit, and it quickly became a title that fans wanted to see ported to other platforms, mainly PC.

This year that’s finally happening, as next month Stellar Blade launches on PC on 11 June, a few weeks away.

For those of you that haven’t played the game yet or perhaps not even heard of it however a free demo is available today, which should give you a taste of the full experience.

It’ll likely be similar to the demo released on the PlayStation Store back before the game first launched, which took players through two of the levels and let them tackle two of the boss fights, even letting them try a boss rush mode as well. The demo was very generous so hopefully the same can be said for the PC version.

For comparison Stellar Blade is a bit like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry, but it has more similarities with the likes of Nier Automata and Nioh 2 in terms of the combat and exploration.

It also boasts an impressive number of skins, more of which were added as free DLC along with some new boss fights.

It’s definitely worth a try, so give the free demo a go this weekend and see what you think before you buy it.

While it’s great that it finally has its PC port, I am a bit worried about what’ll happen when the modding community get their hands on the game…
