PlayStation announces free store credit you can claim in August via select games

More free credit incoming

Throughout August, PlayStation users have a variety of ways to claim free store credit, you just need to know where to look.

A new month brings fresh opportunities.

PlayStation Plus subscribers have already been treated to 150 hours worth of free games, and now, users can also gain store credit while they play.

Not all available games will give you the free digital cash you seek, though, so proceed with caution.

One way to guarantee you’ll score 50 free points is by exploring what the PlayStation Plus games catalogue has to offer.

Watch Still Wakes the Deep's trailer below

“Explore vast landscapes, uncover hidden secrets, and discover new realms” by playing one of the following:

  • Sakuna: Rice of Ruin
  • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
  • LEGO Worlds
  • Journey to the Savage Planet: Employee of the month
  • Mortal Shell

Why stop at just 50 free points, though?

You might as well grab another 50 while you’re here, which you can do with the next PlayStation Stars Campaign.

A selection of titles that Sony has been enjoying and “think you will too” is your next port of call.

Simply buy one of these games and the points are yours:

  • Bõ: Path of the Teal Lotus
  • Kunitsu-gami: Path of the Goddess
  • Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure
  • SCHiM
  • Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board!
  • Still Wakes the Deep

Yet another fine selection to slowly make your way through.

Call us biased, but we think you’ll particularly enjoy Still Wakes the Deep if horror is your preferred genre of choice.

Some may deem it a “bit of a shame” that most of the campaigns centre around purchasing games, but if you were going to play them anyway, why not earn some store credit while you do.

August is off to a flying start; long may it continue!
