PlayStation 6 is shaping up to be an unbelievably powerful console, as a leaker has shared some of the potential specs online.

Sony recently shared during a shareholder meeting that the PlayStation 5 is entering the latter stage of its life, marked by the unfortunate lack of first-party exclusives releasing next year. Due to this It’s been speculated the company is gearing up for the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro, the second revision the console will have received after the PlayStation 5 Slim.

Looking even further ahead than the PlayStation 5 Pro, it’s believed Sony is already hard at work on the development of the PlayStation 6, several details of which have leaked online in the past few weeks.

One of the latest details comes from a new video by Moore's Law is Dead, who was accompanied by Michael from NXGamer. The pair said the PlayStation 6 will use AI to upscale various parts of the display to support 1440p, 120FPS and 4K 60FPS gaming. This isn’t the first rumour of the console using AI either, as other claims state the console will use AI to make in-game NCPs more interactive than ever before. It’s said the advanced AI will allow NPCs to react appropriately to the player’s actions and dialogue, making gaming more immersive than it’s ever been.

Of course fans should take this with a pinch of salt, as nothing has been confirmed by Sony at the time of writing, and there will likely be no official news on the PlayStation 6 for quite some time.

The next hardware announcement will likely be the PlayStation 5 Pro if it actually exists, and it’s said to release later this year. If that’s true there’ll likely be a mad dash to grab one, especially with GTA VI releasing the year after.
