Regardless of the tier that you subscribe to, there’s plenty of value to be had with Sony’s PlayStation Plus.

PlayStation Plus is available in three tiers, Essential, Extra and Premium. PS Plus Essential offers typically three games each month as well as access to online multiplayer, exclusive discounts, DLC and more.

As for PS Plus Extra, that offers everything in Essential but with the added benefit of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games to choose from. Then we have PS Plus Premium, which includes everything included in the previous two tiers, but with a large library of retro classics, a selection of curated movies, cloud streaming, trials and more.

Recently, Sony revealed the latest selection of games included in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers offering a total of 13 new games available this month. Perhaps the standout game from PS Plus September 2024 is the charming new indie game, The Plucky Squire.

In our hands-on preview of The Plucky Squire, we said: “In short, a sublime piece of work packed full of touches designed to put a big, dumb smile on your face. It’s a game that manages to throw out surprise after surprise, and I already can’t wait to see what else The Plucky Squire has for me”.

In terms of gameplay time, PS Plus tends to offer hundreds of hours as standard but this month, thanks to one particular game especially, that number has increased greatly. That game in question is the sci-fi sim from Keen Software House, namely, Space Engineers, which according to HowLongToBeat.com, can last anything between 19 and 370 hours.

As for the rest of the offerings included in PS Plus Extra and Premium this month, you can expect estimates of over 500 hours in totdal:

  • Ben 10 - 3 to 7 hours
  • Chernobylite 14 to 23 hours
  • Far Cry 5 - 18 to 47 hours
  • Mister Mosquito - 3 to 6 hours
  • Night in the Woods - 9 to 24 hours
  • Pistol Whip - 2 to 6 hours
  • The Plucky Squire - 10 hours
  • Road 96 - 7 to 10 hours
  • Secret Agent Clank - 7 to 12 hours
  • Sky Gunner - 3 hours
  • Under the Waves - 7 to 13 hours
  • Wild Card Football - TBC

All of the above games, including The Plucky Squire will be available on Tuesday, 17 September 2024.
