If you were after a snazzy new PlayStation 5 console, then look no further than these three Sony delights.

This year is the 30th anniversary of PlayStation with the first console released in 1994 and since that time we’ve enjoyed classic franchises such as Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo, Resident Evil and much more, all still going strong to this very day.

Check out the Chroma collection trailer below!

So it’s fitting that Sony would launch a celebratory console inspired by the PS1 to mark the occasion. However, getting your hands on this console at the regular RRP might prove to be nearly impossible when we’ve got to compete with bots and greedy scalpers.

Thankfully, if you’re not too disheartened about not being able to claim the 30th-anniversary limited edition PS5 console, then you should have no problem picking up one of the Chroma collections.

In total, there will be three PlayStation 5 (slim model) consoles in the Chroma range, including Chroma Pearl which has a chic pink and cream shine. Chroma Indigo which has deep blues and vivid purples, and finally, the Chroma Teal which has several shades of green.

“We’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to launch this collection and are thrilled to take this next colourful step in our journey,” said Chroma designer Leo Cardoso on the PlayStation Blog. “With a sleek, multichromatic finish that wraps around the entire controller, you’ll notice we’ve carefully refined the colours of every DualSense element to perfectly complement the playful, iridescent transitions.”

Behold the Chroma Collection. Three iridescent DualSense & PS5 console covers launching November 7 and January 23.

“The Chroma Teal is cleaaaan,” tweeted Disobey.

“These look great. I'm loving the recent 'glossy' sort of designs,” said OctoriousYT.

“They’re SO beautiful!” exclaimed Sharrplays.

If you were content with the PlayStation 5 console that you already own, then fear not, because you can pick up a DualSense controller for each of the Chroma range.

Pre-orders for the Chroma collection will begin on 3 October 2024 via PlayStation Direct as well as other retailers. Hopefully, stock will be readily available and won't be gobbled up by scalpers.
