According to an industry insider, 2025 could be one of PlayStation 5’s best years yet, in terms of content.

It’s fair to say that when it comes to video game releases, 2023 was a fantastic year in terms of PlayStation console exclusives with the likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores and Final Fantasy XVI to name a few. And that’s not even taking into account all the amazing third-party games across platforms.

To be fair, 2024 has also had a solid start with the likes of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Steller Blade, Rise of the Ronin and more. Furthermore, we still have the likes of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Astro Bot and LEGO Horizon Adventures yet to arrive on the blue brand.

However, as reported by PlayStationLifeStyle, industry insider NateTheHate claims that 2025 is going to be one of the best for exclusive releases in years with perhaps big news to be announced by Sony by the end of this year.

At this time, news on exclusive PlayStation 5 titles for 2025 is quite scarce, even though we know we have Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Where Winds Meet, and perhaps even Marvel’s Wolverine to look forward to.

There will no doubt be plenty of unannounced PlayStation 5 exclusives so perhaps if we keep our fingers crossed and praise the Sony Interactive Entertainment gods, we’ll finally get a new Uncharted game of this generation, a new God of War and maybe, The Last of Us Part III next year.

Of course, the above is likely no more than wishful thinking and all unconfirmed rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt, but if 2025 is going to be as good as NateTheHate claims (who has a decent reputation when it comes to speculation), perhaps it's ok to have a bit of optimism.

We’ll keep you posted when new rumours and even better, official details are dropped by Sony. As they say, watch this space.
