On Wednesday 1 April, PlayStation Plus will formally unveil which titles will be available as a part of the month's essential tier free game line-up.
Ahead of then, a second game included in the line-up has leaked online courtesy of the ever-reliable bilbill-kun via Dealabs.
April's essential tier line-up will reportedly include Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, developed by Dimps Corporation and published by Bandai Namco.
Originally launched in 2024, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is an enormous multiplayer action RPG that allows you to enjoy 20-player co-op with fellow players from across the world.

You don't have to buddy up, however, if you prefer the quieter life, with Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream also including a generous single-player story mode where "characters from across time and space, each with their own destiny, gather to confront the anomaly in [a] VR world".
In the online mode, 20-players will split across five parties comprising of four players each, taking on an enormous boss in a raid-style approach.
"This mode heralds the return of powerful bosses that once stood against Kirito and his friends. Join players from around the world to overcome these life-or-death battles," the game's description teases.

As you might've picked up from that tease, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is part of the larger Sword Art Online franchise so there are most definitely references that may go over the heads of new players. However, this is technically a standalone story so you don't need any prior knowledge.
There's a Co-op Quest variation of the multiplayer too where the various parties converge after fending off enemies to face a final showdown side by side.
For those looking for something low-stakes, you can hang out with friends in Free Roam where you're, unsurprisingly, free to do whatever you'd like.
This Joins The Previously Leaked Lords of the Fallen
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream isn't the only game to have leaked as billbil-kun previously revealed that essential tier PlayStation Plus subscribers will also be treated to Lords of the Fallen this month.
Lords of the Fallen is an action RPG that first arrived in 2023; it's perfect for fans of Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and other challenging titles.
The game did generate some controversy at launch after its creator stirred the pot in exclaiming that it wouldn't feature "any social or political agendas", a move seen by many as an attempt to curry favour with the anti-diversity corner of the internet.

Lords of the Fallen sold successfully enough to greenlight a sequel which is set to arrive later this year.
The full essential tier PlayStation Plus line-up should include a further one or two games. We'll bring that news to you as soon as it lands.
