If, like us, you’ve been waiting for news on Marvel’s Wolverine, then we have an update for you.

Developed by Marvel’s Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank studio Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Wolverine was announced in September 2021 alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

However, while Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was released in October 2023 on PlayStation 5, before coming to PC in January 2025, we’re still waiting for news on when Marvel’s Wolverine will be released.

In our review of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we said, “This is an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before. Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle.”

At the time of writing, we’ve only been treated to a cinematic trailer featuring Logan when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was announced, and there have also been some unfortunate gameplay leaks from a very early build of the game.

Thankfully, as brought to our attention by Push Square, we’ve had an update of sorts about Marvel’s Wolverine.

In a tweet from Insomniac Games welcoming a new batch of interns to the studio, it was mentioned that they would be involved with the development of Marvel’s Wolverine.

Welcome, #PlayStationInterns! 🏖️☀️

Insomniac and SIE are delighted to host a new generation of innovators this summer, who will cut their claws around our studio working on exciting things like Marvel’s Wolverine!

“Welcome, PlayStation Interns!” the studio tweeted. “Insomniac and SIE are delighted to host a new generation of innovators this summer, who will cut their claws around our studio working on exciting things like Marvel’s Wolverine!

“To our interns: let’s push the boundaries of play together," it continued.

“Please give us a little tidbit from the Wolvie game!” pleaded EmpressCarri, replying to the tweet with Insomniac Games responding with, “Mmmmm. Wish I could, Carrie!”

At this time, Marvel’s Wolverine is intended to be released on PlayStation 5. Hopefully, we’ll be treated to some gameplay and a release date in the coming months.

We’ll, of course, keep you posted when further news drops on Marvel’s Wolverine.
