PlayStation has quietly added a brand new reward to its PlayStation Stars programme, and it’s one that’ll definitely be of interest to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 players.

If you’re not already making the most out of PlayStation Stars, I implore you to see where you stand over on the PlayStation app.

Users will earn points on all PlayStation Store purchases including PlayStation Plus memberships - which are almost enough alone to bag you a reward.

Throw in the fact that you can earn easy points via the service’s campaigns - many of which task you with simply loading up a certain title - and it doesn’t take long to meet the all important threshold of 1,250 points.

This is the stage at which you start unlocking rewards. My extra tier membership renewal recently added 1,000 points alone just to give you an idea of how quickly things can accumulate.

If you’re not familiar, 1,250 points can be exchanged for £5 worth of PlayStation store credit. Alternatively, you can bag a couple of DLC packs including a costume pack for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Take a look at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in action below.

For 1,250 points, PS Stars users can now download the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack which includes one Peter suit, one Miles suit, 10 Photo Mode stickers, and two Photo Mode frames.

The pack was made in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Gameheads whose mission it is to “empower low-income youth and youth of colour to thrive in the video games industry”.

It’s nice to see this offered as a reward. That being said, I also want you to get the most bang for your buck.

The Suit Pack retails for £3.99 and, as I mentioned, costs 1,250 points. You may have noticed that I also said you could bag £5 worth of credit for 1,250 points.

With that in mind, you’re seemingly better off opting for the £5 credit. That way, you could purchase the Suit Pack for £3.99 and still have just over £1 leftover to put towards something else.

I’ll also add that Insomniac have made it clear that in the future, these suits will be made available for free although it’s not yet known when that’ll be.

I’ve laid out the options. The final decision is yours.
