Horizon Zero Dawn fans are in agreement over what could likely happen with the plot of Horizon 3.
Originally released in 2017 on PlayStation 4 before coming to PC and PlayStation 5, starring Aloy, Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best-looking games of its generation. In fact, even if you played it on a standard PS4 today, it would still look better than a lot of current-gen games.
Without giving too much away from its 2022 sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, let’s just say that it leaves us on quite the cliffhanger with arguably more than just our world in the fate of Aloy’s hands.

So, where does that leave Horizon 3, a game that is yet to be officially revealed by its developer, Guerrilla Games? Just a heads up, we will be venturing into spoilers for Horizon Forbidden West.
“What do you hope will happen in the next game?” asked Redditor GalacticGrouser. “I hope Aloy dies at the end of the third game. Aloy and her allies are getting ready to fight a super-advanced AI that has been warped with malice by the infinite wisdom of the people of Far Zenith, who want only one thing - the extinction of all life.”
“I don’t want a happy ending where Aloy has a few battle scars, her friends are hobbled but mostly unscathed and the day is saved. I think it would be poetic to have Aloy, the clone of the woman who saved life on Earth before, die fighting to preserve her predecessor’s legacy,” they concluded.
Judging by most of the thread, it seems that many fans are not in agreement with the author of the posts' thoughts, as poetic as Aloy’s death could be.

“I believe Aloy won't die because she has the one thing Elisabet didn't have, family. She'll do the whole sacrifice play, but her family will pull her out of it,” explained Desperate-Actuator18.
“Honestly, I'd find Aloy dying at the end being the least satisfying conclusion to the story. I’m still ****** that they killed Varl,” replied TheRealNekora.
“I want to see what the New York/DC/Philly areas look like in this world, if possible,” said thulsado0m13. “But more importantly, I just want a happy ending for Aloy.”
We’ll just have to wait and see to find out what the future holds for Aloy and friends. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more about Horizon 3.
