You have to admire the guts of some people. I personally do not have the bravery (nor skill) to pour a jug of paint over my PlayStation 5. One Grand Theft Auto fan did though and thankfully, ended up with a stellar end result, creating a custom GTA VI PlayStation 5 that I’m sure Rockstar would be proud to call their own.
It’s well known by now that GTA VI is set to land next year, with fans already planning their release date ‘sick days’ ahead of time. It’s likely going to be a while before Rockstar Games drops a second trailer as they won’t want the hype to peak too soon. In the meantime though, we have discovered the game’s first celebrity cameo and, of course, fans have been hard at work. One used satellite maps to piece together a potential map, whilst others located the game’s strip club in real life Miami. Today, however, I want to draw your attention to an incredible custom console creation.

This project is the work of content creator lalee_art, real name Alessandro Vincenti, who posted the video to Instagram. On the PlayStation 5’s back plate, lalee_art recreated the GTA VI key art’s blue, pink, and yellow hued sunset background complete with palm trees. He then coated this in black and pulled back ‘V’ and ‘I’ shaped transfers, revealing the stunning backdrop hidden behind, before adding the main Grand Theft Auto logo on top.
As for the front plate, lalee_art recreated the same backdrop - with the palm trees and blue to yellow gradient - but this time, created a stunning close-up portrait painting of protagonist Lucia, once again echoing the game’s key art. The end result is, and this is no exaggeration, stunning. If this was a real product, it would undoubtedly fly off the shelves. Take a look at the creation below.
