Last night's State of Play event was packed with major announcements coming in from all angles. In fact, there were probably so many awesome reveals that one or two of its new games got lost amongst the shuffle. I here to right that wrong by bringing attention to this new game that looks like a blend of God of War and The Witcher.
Okay, there's one we all caught last night. Some of the huge reveals include two God of War announcements, such as the original trilogy getting remade from the ground up, as well as a new spin-off title.
We also got to see the first gameplay for the highly anticipated Silent Hill: Townfall and much more.
Gaming just got an upgrade. A giant, playable chicken on steroids that slaughters so many enemies in one fell swoop that it would make even Kratos proud.

Then I suppose, Kratos would then challenge this chicken to a fight, because, you know, it’s Kratos.
God of War and the Witcher Fans Will Love This!
The new game in question is called Project Windless (or at least that’s its name for now). It’s inspired by Korean methodology, looks to have combat inspired by God of War, and its worldly environments kinda remind me of The Witcher.
“Project Windless is a new open-world action RPG set in the high-fantasy universe of The Bird That Drinks Tears. Step into a mythic age and rise as the Rekon warrior who founded the Arajit Kingdom,” reads the synopsis of the new game.
“Journey freely through a breathtaking world torn by war."
"Forge alliances, gather armies, and stand against the many in epic, large-scale battles.”
Check out the trailer below, it's finger-licking good.
Of course, the giant chicken badass is a standout of the announcement trailer, but I must say that when it’s slaughtering all those enemies on the screen at a high-octane pace, it also gave me vibes of the Dynasty Warriors series.
What Are Gamers Saying About Project Windless?
“KFC: Kratos Fueled Chicken,” joked RyuKenshin-m4p.
“NOW WE NEED PETER GRIFFIN DLC!” declared ChoppingMall80s.
“The most badass chicken,” said overseas8068.
“Rooster of War was the weirdest announcement today, but I'm 100% into it,” commented cyco7229.
No release date has been announced for Project Windless, but given that there wasn't even a release window, we might have to be patient for its arrival.
However, we do know it’s in development for PlayStation 5.
