God Of War fans united over perfect live-action Kratos casting

Perfect choice, but there is one little problem

Fans think they’ve discovered exactly who they’d want to portray Kratos in a live-action adaptation of Sony’s popular franchise God of War, but, unfortunately, the casting might not be as feasible as the commenters assume.

Over on the r/GodOfWarRagnarok subreddit, users have been discussing who they want to take on the role of Kratos in a potential film adaptation… and, objectively, they have chosen the perfect actor: Christopher Judge himself.

“I feel like Christopher judge deserves and is most fit to play this character, has the voice, the build and even the emotional attachment to Sunny Suljic and the God of War franchise as a whole,” commented user Agile_You_1806.

“EXACTLY!!! I would love for him to play Kratos again. I just want him to look like Kratos, if you know what I mean,” replied user PuzzleheadedSound247.

“I feel like some companies haven't done some characters justice in their live action version and then the character is made into a meme.”

Ghost of Yōtei is PlayStation's next major title.

Now, I want to preface what I’m about to say by first saying, yes, I think Christopher Judge would be the perfect live action Kratos.

He’s a phenomenal actor, especially in live action roles. His voice is so iconic that anyone who attempted to replicate it wouldn’t even be able to come close, and he just 100% looks the part.

The only issue is… he might not actually be able to take on the role.

Judge has been very open about his health issues in the past. In a tweet back in 2021, he revealed that he “couldn’t walk” following an operation in 2019.

“Had to have back surgery, both hips replaced, and, knee surgery,” Judge stated in his post.

I’m not sure how he’s doing these days and I wouldn’t dare assume regardless, but I’m not sure he’d even want to tackle a role as physically demanding as Kratos given what he’s already been through.

If he wants to and feels up to it, hell yeah. I’d love to see it. He obviously loves the work he’s done on the franchise, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he would want to tackle the role in live action anyway.

Just don’t be too disappointed if he’d potentially turn it down.
