Maintaining a PlayStation Plus subscription is no easy feat in today’s economy but then again, it saves a whole lot of money in the long run for avid gamers.

Luckily, a collaboration between Sony and online comic book site Webtoon recently saw PlayStation users get the chance to try out two weeks of PlayStation Plus Premium for absolutely free.

Learn more about PlayStation Plus in the trailer below!

Available in the U.S. region only, this limited time event offered access to two weeks of PS Plus Premium and all you had to do was log into an active Webtoon account and participate in the ongoing reading event.

The event required users to read any seven episodes of Webtoon’s Press Play Collection with the stories eligible found listed on the official app.

It's tricky to get involved at this stage, but it's not impossible; you see, the reading eligibility period closed on 6 May so this is more a warning to say that if you did complete the task in time, today (8 May) is your final day to redeem your free PS Plus code.

For those who have never ventured into the PlayStation Plus service, the Sony membership scheme gives users access to hundreds of titles in the Game Catalogue, as well as Game Trials, Cloud Streaming, the Classics Catalogue, Online Multiplayer and more.

Not only that but a handful of new games are added each month, which often includes day-one releases.

Users over on Reddit were grateful for the chance of more PS Plus time.

"Followed your post instructions and about an hour later I got my code,” one person shared. “Upgraded my Essential plan to Premium and it’s set to renew on 1 June when it was originally set to renew on 28 May. Thanks for posting.”

Remember that this deal is U.S. exclusive but if you are eligible and have already completed the reading task, it is definitely worth taking advantage of.

Get that redemption code entered now.
