Try as they might to stay calm, God of War fans are having a tough time keeping it together right now.

Not because they’re sad, but because the latest God of War leak has them hungry for more information.

Several days ago, we reported about the next location in the God of War franchise.

Although nothing has been officially confirmed yet, there are several theories combined with clues that seemingly point the way to the next setting of Egypt.

Mythology plays a huge part in the series experience, and with ancient Egyptian folklore brimming with many tales to adapt and utilise, it seems like the most logical choice.

Surely you already know you can play God of War Ragnarök on PC?

Fans are loving the idea, and are already discussing the various ways such a story would play out.

Redditor Bullet1289 said, “It would be funny if at least one aspect of Zeus was still alive in the new game from when Zeus fled Typhon into Egypt. He left a part of himself behind there as a backup plan in case he was killed in his round two against the titan.”

Zeus turning up doesn’t sound as far-fetched as it first seems.

“Wouldn’t rule it out, mythologically Zeus Ammon was a blend of both Zeus and the Egyptian god Amun. Alexander the Great had his coinage depict him with Ammon’s horns during his campaigning,” explained samdi3go.

To those who say ancient Egyptian legends are done to death, one fan has some choice words for you.

“Where have we seen Egyptian folklore done outside of one Assassin's Creed game?” asked Logondo. “As an ancient Egyptian die-hard, please let me know. We really really don't get that much Egyptian shit.”

Not only that but there would be some “wild boss fights” on the cards if the developers focused on Egyptian mythology.

“Anubis, Horus, Osiris. Gonna be some wild boss fights,” -Stacys_mom remarked.

Another fan posted, “This would be unbelievably good if it’s around the same level of quality as GoW 2018/Ragnarök. Holy f**k lol.”

Needless to say, this would be the dream setting for fans.

Could Kratos be ready to explore Egypt? The fandom certainly hopes so.
