PlayStation has released new Ghost of Tsushima downloads that you can claim for free in celebration of its fifth anniversary.
Originally released on July 17, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Ghost of Tsushima, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, became an instant hit with fans due to its gripping story, fun gameplay, and stunning visuals.
“In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East,” reads its synopsis. “Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan.
“As one of the last surviving members of his clan, Jin is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home.”

In September 2024, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima was announced with Ghost of Yōtei set over 300 years after the events of the first game, featuring Atsu, a wandering ronin on a quest for vengeance.
Ghost of Yōtei releases in about three months from now, with fans excited for its launch on PlayStation 5. However, let’s not forget about the game that brought this series to the dance.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Ghost of Tsushima, you can claim three stunning avatars to proudly display on your PlayStation Network profile.
The three avatars in question are inspired by the vinyl soundtrack collection, with the artwork created by manga artist Takashi Okazaki.
