The Bloodborne experience of our dreams is finally here, but you’ll have to run through a few hoops to play it.
If you clicked on this article in the first place, you don’t need me to tell you that Sony is slacking when it comes to Bloodborne.
The game is beloved by millions, was reviewed great upon its release on PlayStation 4, and… has pretty much never been acknowledged by Sony since.
Of course, greenlighting a sequel or announcing a remaster isn’t quite as simple as you would have hoped, considering that developer FromSoftware is a free agent.

Luckily for us, the modding community has made some huge strides in the past couple of years, and you can play Bloodborne in 60fps for yourself… provided you have a relatively beefy PC.
As you can see for yourself in RajmanGaming HD’s video detailing the current 60fps patch for the game on PC, the game still looks incredible– and everyone in the comments agrees.
“It's beautiful.... sniff thank you fans for doing what Sony refuses to do,” commented user @SuppliciumVT.
“It's only been like what? 10 years? I'm so glad. Finally I get to fight Ludwig, my favourite boss, on 2K 60fps lol,” replied user @QuanNguyen-bk4pn.

“This is beautiful man... Imagine the emulation in 5 years,” remarked user @SwordKnight26.
I should say, while the title of the video states that the game is running in “4K”, I think it’s actually running in 2K in many areas. As far as I’m aware, a 4K 60fps version of Bloodborne isn’t stable enough at this point in time to run the game in its entirety.
Speaking of, if you want to try this out for yourself, I highly suggest watching Digital Foundry’s video on the ShadPS4 version of the game.
DF walks you through exactly which mods you should install, and what you should expect performance-wise, so it’ll help temper your expectations before you jump into it.

Do keep in mind that, yes, you will need a relatively decent PC to get this working. Having it run at 60fps in 720p isn’t too much of a stretch for older rigs, but you’re going to need something beefy if you want the best experience.
Alternatively, it is also possible to get something similar running on a modded PlayStation 4, but I don’t think Sony would appreciate me giving you the exact details on how to do that.
