Battlefield 6 players can claim free DLC worth $20 right now, packed with new in-game content for Season 5: Siege of Vegas. Better yet, Dead Space is returning in a crossover event that survival horror fans will love.
Released in 2025, Battlefield 6 is the latest entry in the military shooter series and a fierce rival to Call of Duty. After Battlefield 2042's woeful launch, EA got things back on track with a return to its ‘boots on the ground’ roots.
Now, Season 5: Siege of Vegas has arrived in Battlefield 6 with a new $19.99/£17.99 DLC pack for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, PS Plus subscribers can claim it for free. This DLC is also compatible with the free-to-play battle royale spin-off, Battlefield REDSEC.
What's included in the free Battlefield 6 DLC?
The free PlayStation Plus DLC in question is the ‘Lion's Share Pack’, which includes the following content:
- “Unyielding Reign” NATO Recon Soldier Skin
- “Mangling Gleam” SVK-8.6 DMR Weapon Package
- “Stalk and Pounce” M2010 ESR Sniper Rifle Weapon Package
- “Prowling Chariot” NATO Glider 96 Light Ground Transport Vehicle Skin
- “Beware the Pride” Player Card Background
- “Poised” Dog Tag
- “Bared” Weapon Charm
- “Golden Mane” Parachute
- “Ruler's Keep” Soldier Patch
- “Legacy” Vehicle Decal
- “Fear My Roar” Title
How long is the free Battlefield 6 DLC available on PS Plus?
There is no expiry date listed on the PlayStation Store page. However, previous free Battlefield 6 DLC offers have since ended, so it might be worth claiming this pack before it's too late.

Battlefield 6 brings back Dead Space in new crossover
The Battlefield 6 and REDSEC crossover with Dead Space is a limited-time Halloween event called ‘Convergence’. It runs from October 20 to November 7, 2026, and brings a new PvE mode to the popular military shooter.

The PvE mode, called ‘Marker Incursion’, supports up to 16 players fighting off hordes of AI-controlled “Marked” soldiers. As the waves of enemies increase in difficulty and numbers, players must also destroy the alien Marker to prevent the corruption from spreading. The event also takes place at the infamous military base, Area 51.
Fans of the Dead Space series will be happy to know that one of Isaac Clarke's weapons, the Pulse Rifle, is available during the event. There are also plenty of free rewards to unlock, including the Aegis VII Soldier Skin, RIG-Certified SMG Weapon Package and much more.
What GAMINGbible said about Battlefield 6
“Instead of taking advantage of the series’ signature destructible environments, large open maps, and role-based teamplay, Battlefield 6’s campaign essentially locks you into a set of levels where you shoot a few guys, move to a new area, shoot some more, rinse and repeat,” said GAMINGbible’s Olly, scoring Battlefield 6 an “Excellent” 8/10.
Sadly, while no plans for a new Dead Space game have been made public, this crossover is the closest thing we'll get for now. The Battlefield 6 and Dead Space crossover event is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
