We’d be lying if we said we’re not dying to get a proper first look at The Witcher 4.

Nonetheless, with CD Projekt Red still working hard on the The Witcher 3 sequel, we need something to fill the void while we wait.

When there’s new expansions like ‘Beast of the Blood’ to keep us connected to Geralt, we find ourselves less concerned with the next title’s launch date.

The White Wolf has faced down many terrifying foes in his journey as a Witcher; this new creature is no exception.

Who else is excited about The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep?

Created by Oleksandr Shapran and uploaded to NexusMods, ‘Beast of Blood’ sees Geralt hard at work trying to uncover the truth about a “terrible beast”.

Here’s more a teaser for you from the expansion’s description:

“Throughout his life, Geralt of Rivia has encountered beasts among humans, and conversely, monsters with a sensitive heart and soul...

“This time, while passing through a small village called Lindenvale, the Witcher noticed a peculiar yet large and intimidating statue of a bear [...] Little did the Witcher know what thread he had pulled when he merely decided to inquire about the statue or totem.”

Our interest has been piqued.

So too has the interest of fellow fans, some of whom have already played this mod.

“Awesome work my guy!!!” posted NexusMods user Jyzzrly.

Another comment reads, “I enjoyed your mod so much that I decided to translate it into Russian so that other Russian-speaking players could also fully experience it [...] Thank you in advance for your help and for creating such a wonderful mod!”

This isn’t the only DLC you can explore – The Witcher fandom has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure Geralt’s adventures never end.

A new mod has even surprised fans with extra DLC, which is always a nice bonus to discover while taking down monsters.

You can face this legendary beast, or you can continue to wait for The Witcher 4 with bated breath. Just don’t hold your breath – we don’t think you’ll survive the wait if you do.
