With post-launch support now complete on Cyberpunk 2077, developers at CD Projekt RED can shift manpower over to their next project.

The long-awaited The Witcher 4 is that very project, although I should stress that that’s just a colloquial title.

We know that the next game in the beloved franchise will follow on from The Witcher 3 but it’ll also kickstart a brand new trilogy, believed to be headlined by a new protagonist.

Whether that means brand new or just a familiar face other than Geralt, we don’t know.

The truth is though that The Witcher 4 likely remains several years away from release.

It’s a good job that we wholeheartedly adore returning to The Witcher 3, especially when you add mods into the mix.

There are thousands of mods for you to choose from if you’re looking to expand and improve the game.

From new questlines to DLC-sized expansions, but today I’d like to draw your attention to something far more humble but no less worthy.

ICYMI: Star Wars Outlaws launches next month on 30 August. We recently sat down with the developers at Summer Game Fest.

‘Elysium - A Complete Next Gen Grass Overhaul’ is exactly what it says on the tin. It provides the game’s grass with a major glow-up.

That may not sound like a big deal but just think about how often you’re surrounded by lush green swathes in The Witcher 3.

Improving such surroundings can only be a positive thing.

The mod is the work of Maidenfan724 who really deserves commending for the stunning quality of this mod.

“This is a grass mod that I have been working on for a while now that is the culmination of all of my past public and unreleased projects,” they wrote.

“This is the grass mod that I always wanted to make and now it's here for you to enjoy! It covers every region in the base game as well as Toussaint. Everything has been carefully curated with an eye for consistency and visual appeal, while staying diverse and performant.”

The mod should offer a nice performance boost and is designed to look great at whatever density setting you choose.

To install this free mod, simply head on over to NexusMods, hit download, drag and drop it into your mods folder and enjoy.

As the creator states, happy frolicking.
