Star Wars Genesis is Completely Blowing Gamers Away

This is one way to upgrade Starfield

If you’re not yet familiar with Star Wars Genesis, then I’m so thrilled to be the person that changes that.

This is, essentially, a huge conversion mod project that converts Bethesda’s Starfield into an enormous open-world Star Wars RPG.

The project is so ridiculously extensive that we’d be here all day if I were to list every single feature.

What I will tell you though is that Star Wars Genensis features a unique main story line, an overhaul of Starfield’s music, a conversion of all factions, new factions, converted weapons, iconic locations and planets, converted voicelines, familiar alien races and droids, force powers, iconic ships, new custom bosses and dungeons, as well as a city day and night cycle.

I’m really just scratching the surface there.

“Star Wars Genesis is developed with a gameplay-first philosophy. The goal is an immersive RPG with a unique story and expansive endgame, rather than a re-skin of Starfield with the same flaws,” the description reads.

“It strives to improve the base game by implementing bug fixes, new and enhanced gameplay features, upgraded visuals, and more. Vanilla Starfield is best described as a bland exploration game with simply nothing out there for you to explore.”

It continues, “Thousands of planets filled with the same repetitive locations, biomes, and enemies. Genesis addresses that by adding new, unique experiences across the galaxy.”

“You can spend days exploring Tatooine as a drifter, building an outpost, hunting Tusken Raiders, and trading with Jawas in Mos Eisley. You can journey to Coruscant and navigate its vast underworld and black market while evading Imperial patrols, or take a different path and serve the Empire instead.”

The mod project is constantly being updated with Version 8.4 being the latest; simply head over to the Star Wars Genesis website and download the modlist.

You’ll need a PC copy of Starfield, of course. You can view the full mod notes here.

You can find plenty of players testifying how incredible the project is over on Reddit.

“The Star Wars Genesis mod is absolutely stunning,” reads one recent example from user HemmheroidsSuck. “Me and the gang on Mandalore.”

“Starfield with Star Wars Genesis mods is [the] Star Wars game we all deserve,” added TheGreatBeyondr.

Star Wars Genesis is, as a reminder, completely free as long as you already have a copy of a Starfield, plus you’ll need a decent PC to get the modlist running.

If you’re a modder yourself, you can also volunteer to join the team!
