Skyrim players can now download a new free overhaul which adds plenty of new options to a major questline.
As the wait for The Elder Scrolls VI grows even longer, fans of the series can keep themselves occupied with new mods and quests for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which can add hours of new content.
For players who are particularly fans of the Thieves Guild questline, this new free download should give you a reason to go back and revisit it with a new character.
Skyrim modder Flowrifto has now released a brand new mod titled Thieves Guild Plus Plus, which is a complete overhaul of the questline to give you new options and ways to complete each quest.

Flowrifto has been adding to this mod consistently over the past few months (we’ve covered their previous mods before, for example), but this release has now put all of the overhauls into one place so you can install it with ease.
It’s clear that Flowrifto has been inspired by games like Dishonored and Thief when re-designing these missions from the base version of Skyrim, as a lot of the new options you’re given involve manipulating the questline by doing unexpected things like killing off essential characters or sequence breaking certain objectives.
This basically transforms the Thieves Guild questline in Skyrim into a sort-of immersive sim, where your actions can bring about unexpected consequences due to a character not having certain information they need, or perhaps being dead before their involvement in the questline is over.
Despite all this, the questline continues moving forward without any errors, game over screens, or failures.

The full list of changes included in the mod are massive, so I won’t go over all of them. However, there are some highlights to cover.
For starters, new voiced dialogue lines have been added spliced with vanilla lines, which allows Flowrifto to craft new and alternate scenes to account for the changes you can make throughout the campaign.
Other changes include characters from the Skyrim Thieves Guild such as Mercer, Brynjolf, and Karliah being fully killable at any time during the campaign, with each quest playing out different if you decide to go down that route.
Similarly, you can now pick up most quest items from the start of the game, even if you haven’t reached the Thieves Guild yet or started the quest associated with said item. These items can also be misplaced, which has a direct consequence on the questline.
Finally, there are also plenty more choices for you to make which allows you to truly role-play while completing the Thieves Guild questline.
As a result, we’d certainly recommend checking this mod out with a fresh thief character. If you ask us, this is how every questline in Skyrim should have played out, with loads of choices available to you instead of the restrictions that Bethesda Game Studios laid out.
You can download Thieves Guild Plus Plus now from the Skyrim page on Nexus Mods.
