If you want to play a charming game that blends elements from Red Dead Redemption 2 and Stardew Valley, then look no further than this delightful title.

Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Stardew Valley are two very different games. For starters, one is a AAA juggernaut developed by Rockstar Games and the other is from the talented indie studio, ConcernedApe with both games proving to be successful in their own right.

Check out the Cattle Country trailer below!

So, what is this charming indie game that collides with the worlds of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Stardew Valley, I hear you ask? Well, unless you just clocked the trailer above, that very game is Cattle Country developed by Castle Pixel and published by Playtonic Friends.

“Howdy partner! Welcome to Cattle Country, the only cosy cowboy adventure life sim,” reads the description of the game on Steam.

“Become a determined pioneer travelling west to start a new life. Make a home in the mountains, take on bandits, discover dastardly plots, build a farm, develop your town, and make friends with fellow residents.”

At the time of writing, Cattle Country does not have a release date, however, if you want to sample the game ahead of its release, then you can check out its upcoming open beta.

“The very talented folks at Castle Pixel are hard at work developing the game and your feedback will go a long way to help us ensure Cattle Country is the rootinest, tootinest, cosiest cowboy game ever.” says a blog post.

The free Cattle Country open beta will go live for PC players on 25 October 2024. So hopefully, its full launch isn't too far away.

We’ll keep you posted when we hear more on the release of Cattle Country which will hopefully include a well-suited Nintendo Switch port at some point.
