Red Dead Redemption 2 looks gorgeous on the worst of days, so seeing it run on an RTX 5090 and 9800X3D is simply unreal.

Rockstar Games seemingly does the impossible when it comes to its open-world games by balancing both quality and quantity in terms of visuals and map. size.

We’re months away from seeing if it can perform yet another miracle with GTA VI, but from what we’ve seen so far, it’s looking promising.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was and is still groundbreaking, even more so when you’re running it on a PC decked out with the latest hardware.

Digital Dreams has once again showcased the game running with an RTX 5090 and 9800X3D, with 8K visuals as you’d expect and several mods to make it look pixel-perfect.

With life-like graphics it continues to impress and it’s a crying shame Xbox and PlayStation players can’t experience the game on this level.

At the time of writing, there’s still no enhancement update for Red Dead Redemption 2 that takes advantage of the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 hardware, a missed opportunity, if you ask me

If you want to see similar results in your own PC gameplay there are plenty of guides out there featuring mods to make it happen, but you will, of coursem need some pretty advanced kit to make it work.

“Incredible, imagine what GTA VI will look like with mods and superior RTX graphics,” read one of the comments.

“Is there ever gonna be a next gen update for this game? A 60fps patch, etc? I'd love to play it on my Series X with a proper fps boost,” added another.

It looks utterly fantastic, and there’s still room for improvement as hardware continues to improve. God knows how good GTA VI is going to look when modders get their hands on it.
