Horizon Forbidden West is getting a major upgrade for PC gamers

And we thought that Horizon Forbidden West couldn't look better

One of the benefits of being a PC gamer is the versatility of the platform allowing our favourite video games to look and perform better than ever, and the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be no exception.

Granted, to get the best out of your video games on PC, you’ll need the necessary hardware and software, which can be at a hefty financial cost. However, even with the best PC setups, top-tier quality is never a guarantee, especially at launch. We only have to look at the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Last of Us Part I as prime examples. Both of these are fantastic games, so hopefully, those PC ports are in a much better state now.

Check out the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition trailer below!

This month, PC gamers will be treated to the release of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition which not only includes all previously released DLC but also the critically acclaimed Burning Shores expansion. In our review of Burning Shores, we said that the expansion has “taken the franchise to soaring new heights, I cannot wait for the next instalment in Aloy’s journey to take us to the stars and beyond.”

As long as the port of the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition releases with no issues it will undoubtedly be the best version of the Guerrilla Games title offering a major upgrade for fans of Aloy’s adventures and her battles against the machines.

Guerrilla Games has released the PC requirements for Horizon Forbidden West including minimum, recommended, high and very high. For the minimum settings, you will need at least an Intel i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X with 16GB of RAM and 150GB of SSD storage space to run at 720p and 30 frames per second.

As for the very high requirements, you will need an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and 16GB of RAM. If your PC has that capability, then you can play Horizon Forbidden West at a 4K resolution and 60fps. Some systems will also be capable of an uncapped framerate.

Horizon Forbidden West is available on modern PlayStation consoles now and the Complete Edition will arrive on PC on 21 March 2024.
