Steam users impressed with hit stealth game on sale for 90% off

Players are loving it!

With the Steam Autumn Sale kicking off this week, PC gamers from around the world are finding big discounts on some of the best games.

Featuring big savings across many massive franchises, including Assassin’s Creed, GTA, and Fallout, it’s the best time to add to your backlog.

One such game that we’d certainly recommend, especially if you’re into stealth games, is Hitman: World of Assassination.

Check out a trailer for Hitman below!

In each level in Hitman, you’re tasked with eliminating a target or two, using whatever weapon and disguise you can find.

Dress up as a barber and give your target a lethal trim, or grab a chef's disguise and poison their delicious lunch. The game lets you choose how you want to tackle each mission. With so many choices, the game ends up having a lot of replay value.

So it comes as no wonder that Steam users are impressed by Hitman’s 90% discount in the sale, bringing the price down to just £2.49 / $2.99.

Since the Autumn Sale began yesterday, there has been a large increase in player numbers and positive reviews added to the game’s store page.

The 24-hour peak player count is currently at just under 5,000 players, compared to yesterday which estimated the peak being under 3,000 players.

Similarly, the game has received 57 new positive reviews so far today, compared to 32 positive reviews yesterday.

On X (formerly Twitter), one user wrote “If you like stealth in the slightest, there's very few reasons not to get this game by now.”

Another excitedly posted: “YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE HITMAN SERIES IS ON A DEEP DISCOUNT”

It should be noted this discount only applies to “Part One”, which is basically just the first game in the trilogy. If you want the second and third games, you’ll have to buy the Standard Edition which comes with all three games packaged as one, plus the bonus VR and Freelancer modes. This version currently has a 60% discount.

While it is a bit more expensive, grabbing Part One is definitely a good shout if you're on the fence about trying Hitman. There are six levels included in the first game, which is already easily a hundred or more hours of content if you strive to see everything it has to offer.

Originally released in 2021 as Hitman 3, the game was renamed World of Assassination a couple of years later when IO Interactive wanted to turn the game into a one-stop hub for all three games. Which is why you can play all three games in one launcher.
