Far Cry 5: Resistance will keep you busy till Far Cry 7

The perfect way to revisit the game

Ubisoft must be pleased with the reaction to Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The game has proven to be both a critical and commercial success, and is most definitely the win the company needed.

It’s not yet known what’s next for Ubisoft; we’ll most likely find out at the next Ubisoft Forward event due to be held this summer.

It’s widely assumed though that Far Cry 7 may be unveiled as it’s been almost four years since Far Cry 6 dropped.

This is merely speculation for now.

If you do find yourself craving some Far Cry action between now and then, I’d like to draw your attention to ‘Far Cry 5: Resistance’, an incredible mod experience for Far Cry 5 that adds several new features to the game.

If you’ve not yet given the game a whirl, you can take a look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows in action below.

Far Cry 5: Resistance is the work of a talented team of 22 modders.

“Far Cry 5 is an amazingly beautiful game, where Montana’s original world is very accurately reproduced. [...] But as is often the case with large projects, much remained behind the scenes [that] was not included in the final release,” the mod description reads.

“After completing all the missions outside the main scenario, the game becomes lifeless and empty. The presented mod is designed to solve many of these problems and add features not included in the final release of the game.”

With the mod, players will be able to “control the weather and time, respawn enemies and participants in the resistance, defend roadblocks, change spawn modes: from war to quiet nirvana,” hunt, and fish.

The mod also adds “new and unreleased items to the store, edits weapon parameters and rewards, and much more”.

You can head on over to the listing page to read the full patch notes.

I should mention that ‘Far Cry 5: Resistance’ is totally free to download on PC.

You’ll, of course, need a copy of Far Cry 5. If you tick that box, there’s plenty here to keep you busy, breathing new life into this beloved release of yesteryear.
