Fallout 4 fans will want to check out this free download that adds new content to the beloved post-apocalyptic RPG.

Since its inception in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Fallout 4 pretty much became one of the most popular entries in the Bethesda series the moment it launched.

Set in a futuristic but retro post-apocalyptic Boston, USA, Fallout 4 is even bigger than its predecessors, and some might say better. That being said, I’ll always argue the case for Fallout 3, but I digress.

“As the sole survivor of Vault 111, only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Join multiple factions vying for power or go it alone - the choices are yours,” reads the synopsis of Fallout 4.

Last year, largely thanks to the success of the live-action Fallout series from Amazon, not to mention the long-awaited free new-gen update for Fallout 4, 2024 brought in a legion of new fans to the series, most certainly making the franchise more popular than ever.

Let’s not forget the other big reason why the Fallout series has remained so popular over the years, and that’s the ever-vibrant modding community.

Fallout 4 in particular sees a constant flurry of new content courtesy of modders, and one mod that could be worth your time is ‘Hunter’s Abyss’. It’s created by Lonnie667 and is free to download via Nexusmods.

“Hunter's Abyss adds a new land in the southern part of the Glowing Sea, called the Abyss,” reads the description of the mod. “A fracture in the land where radiation pours down and creatures are larger and more violent. Comp

lete with new weapons, armour, magazines, player home, and settlement area.”

From what I can tell, unlike some Fallout 4 mods, ‘Hunter’s Abyss’ is not available on Xbox, unfortunately. It’s a PC deal only.

Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also included with an Xbox Game Pass subscription at no extra cost.
