Fallout fans can rejoice, as they have a new Fallout 4 expansion to play that takes you to yet another new map to explore.

The Fallout world is pretty small as far as the canon is concerned, as Bethesda is adamant that the series will never leave the United States in terms of setting. However, fans have done a good job expanding the world themselves through projects like Fallout: London.

As far as mainline games are concerned, the United States still has a lot of potential, and there’s a lot of ground to cover for future games.

Despite being an unofficial expansion for Fallout 4, 'Fallout Connecticut' is a great little addition to the open-world and gives fans a new area to explore while they wait for something official to drop.

The mod even has its own story too, as players will need to solve a conspiracy as they navigate the new map and interact with its various NPCs, and the usual dangers the Fallout world poses.

Sounds like good fun and if anything, it gives you something to do while you wait for a new game which doesn’t seem to be coming out for a good few years.

It’s not the only expansion either as there are plenty of other fan-made mods that take inspiration from real-world locations and turn them into Fallout maps, so have a rummage through NexusMods and see if any take your fancy.

As far as official projects go, there’s Fallout 5 which, as said before, isn’t coming out for a while as it’s probably not even in pre-production yet.

There’s also the second season of the Fallout TV series which is coming out later this year, and will take the series back to the familiar location of New Vegas, sparking hopes for a remaster/remake or maybe even a sequel at some point in the future.

It goes without saying that 'Fallout Connecticut' is something only PC fans will be able to enjoy due to it's listing on NexusMods.
