Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Adds New Way to Enjoy the Game, Free to Download

Baldur’s Gate 3 players can download this free mod that lets us enjoy the RPG in new ways.
When it comes to taking the video game community by storm, it doesn't get better than the Dungeons & Dragons inspired Baldur’s Gate 3, developed and published by Larian Studios, when it arrived in 2023.
“Gather your party and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power,” reads the synopsis of the game.
“Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a mind flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption and become ultimate evil.”

With Baldur’s Gate 3 objectively one of the greatest RPGs of all time, it remains widely loved by fans across the genre. Ultimately this has been reflected by its score of 96 over on Metacritic, earning the “Must-Play” accolade. What’s more, it also scored a hefty 9.2 from users.
Already considered a near-perfect game, there aren't many ways to improve on Baldur’s Gate 3, but never bet against the ever-vibrant modding community to find a way. One such mod is called ‘Past Life Regressions’, created by Rationist, and it’s free to download now via Nexusmods. Larian Studios even offers free mod support.
“Instead of learning skills and trades, you have spent time with mystics regressing your past lives,” details the mod description.
“I found solo more frustrating for getting inspiration points, as you get them from everyone currently in your party.
“To address this, I created a background and feat that you choose, to get that experience and benefit. Provides a background and feat to unlock all class dialogue options and all backgrounds. You only get a one-point boost to history and insight, along with musical instrument proficiency.”
It does sound like ‘Past Life Regressions’ is a fun mod to check out, especially if you’ve finished Baldur’s Gate 3 several times and are looking for a new way to experience the game and interact with its characters.
Sadly, as is the case with most mods, this is a PC exclusive. For the rest of us, we can enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as originally intended.
