The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker free download available now

A blissful moment for fans

If you haven’t already heard of the Nintendo Music app, let me tell you about it because it’s fantastic.

If you’re a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, you have an option to download the Nintendo Music app for your device and connect your account for full access to a wealth of amazing music from Nintendo’s games.

The soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is still a delight.

There are some great soundtracks on there to listen to, and the latest release is the delightful and enchanting OST for Wind Waker, perhaps the best game in The Legend of Zelda series.

While many would argue that Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are superior, there’s a lot of love for the cel-shaded adventures of Link.

As soon as I heard about this release, I dashed over to the app and started listening, instantly transporting myself to the waves of the sea.

The whimsical soundtrack is just as captivating now as it was originally when the game first released on the GameCube.

This isn’t the only Zelda OST made available by Nintendo.

You can also find soundtracks for Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time, both of which are worth a listen.

They make for perfect background noise while working or studying - I’ve got it playing right now and while it’s frigidly chilly here, the music is dripping with summer vibes and whisking me away to sun-kissed islands.

God, I wish there was a simple way to replay Wind Waker legally.

It’s my hope that with the Nintendo Switch 2, the company makes more of an effort to deliver GameCube titles via remasters of the Virtual Consoles.

It’s a crying shame that Nintendo doesn’t make its legendary games easier to access, which would ultimately cut down on illegal sources as players can play them freely.

Hell, I’d pay a small fortune to play some of these games on my Switch.
