Pokémon TCG Pocket new cards and expansions leaked

More trading card goodness is on the way

Pokémon TCG Pocket has taken the world by storm, and I truly mean that.

I can’t say I’m surprised.

Pókemon’s Trading Card Game has always withstood the test of time, so the fact that a virtual iteration has proved to be just as popular is perhaps the expected outcome.

Although, it’s with that in mind that you wonder why The Pokémon Company didn’t launch something like this sooner.

Already, Pokémon TCG Pocket is pulling in more daily revenue than Pokémon GO - another colossal success.

If you’re itching to find out what’s next for the game, you’re in luck as a reputable leaker has just surfaced online with that very info.

Pokémon fans also have Pokémon Legends Z-A to look forward to, which is set to launch on Nintendo Systems next year.

PokeGirlLauren is the leaker in question, surfacing on Twitter to reveal the game’s upcoming sets.

“Mini [Pokémon TCG Pocket] Set A1a to be released 16 December,” PokeGirlLauren wrote.

“The [second] set 'A2’ will be released 29 January, will contain around 230 cards and is expected to totally change the meta.”

“Plans are for [four] new sets and [four] mini sets a year,” she concluded.

She then went on to reveal some upcoming events.

From 22 November to 2 December, players can reportedly look forward to a ‘Black Friday Gold’ event, as well as a Magikarp/Gyarados event from 22 to 28 November.

An Arcanine event will supposedly run simultaneously, with a Venusaur event following from 29 November to 13 December.

As for what each event will entail, well, PokeGirlLauren had this to say: “The Arcanine event will be a Wonder Pick event called Rare Pick where Arcanine EX will be available with other holo cards including Charizard, Moltres, and Ninetails.”

Of course, as this is a leak, I do have to urge you to take all information with a pinch of salt.

That being said, PokeGirlLauren is a reliable source, so hopefully we should receive some official confirmation soon.
