We might have just received our first glimpse at the starter Pokémon for Pokémon Legends Z-A, as well as when the game will be released.

As we draw ever closer to Pokémon Day, fans are desperately trying to figure out what announcements might be made.

Top of the list is an update about Pokémon Legends Z-A, the next instalment in the franchise that many gamers are dying to play without knowing little to any details about it.

The Pokémon Company has been surprisingly quiet about this game, yet that hasn't stopped fans from digging around to find any clues.

We're more than ready for another Pokémon Legends: Z-A trailer

Shared by X user @Light_88_, a screenshot of what Pokémon Day will include, as well as the "confidential" images of unknown Pokémon, has fans frantically trying to figure out if this is verified or fake news.

According to the screenshots shared, a new trailer is set to be revealed. What is more, this trailer will finally give us a launch date to count down to; 25 July.

Leaks are very common when it comes to upcoming releases, so it's sometimes difficult to ascertain which are genuine and which aren't.

Moreover, regardless of authenticity, leaks always prove polarising for fandoms.

"We’ve seen this style of leak(s) before. IT’S REAL!" argued @KAGURABA_CHi in response to the news.

"Interesting," @Rembar12598 remarked.

While neither reply is exactly gushing with excitement, both of these users are eager to learn more, even if it's just to see The Pokémon Company confirm or deny the leak.

Others, however, aren't convinced.

"I want to believe this but...they're just going to re-announce Pokemon Go Tour: Unova which is this week and the shiny Keldeo dex completion reward? Idk but we'll see. Hate to see it get spoiled before the Day of. Hate people being so impatient," said @Hackerboy__.

Scepticism about this leak is wise.

Still, while nobody is sure what to make of this teaser, it's done the job at setting the cat amongst the pigeons and getting the fandom all fired up.
