However, before then, you might want to check out this gorgeous new fan-made remake arriving later this month.
This remake is inspired by Pokémon LeafGreen, which originally launched alongside FireRed for the Game Boy Advance in 2004; Gamma Emerald, the remake in question, is being developed independently by UndreamedPanic.
The fan-made remake was announced just over a year ago and has lovely sprite visuals that remind me of the fantastic 2018 RPG published by Square Enix, Octopath Traveler, which later received a sequel in 2023.
Up until now, we’ve not had a release date for Gamma Emerald, but UndreamedPanic has since announced that the remake will be available via Itch and Gamejolt next week on Thursday, 15 May.

"OMG!! I'm gonna be locked in that game," said sahagun37782, replying to the tweet from UndreamedPanic.
Hopefully, Nintendo won't do a classic Nintendo and force the developer to close down this free remake. Fingers crossed.
As for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, it’s set to be released at some point later this year. We’ll keep you posted when that release date drops.
