If you want to claim a free shiny Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, then you need to act fast to avoid missing out.

Released in 2022 on the Nintendo Switch, it’s fair to say that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launched in a not-so-great state with bugs and performance issues before they were eventually patched out.

Some also criticised the title for not being the prettiest Pokémon instalment on Nintendo’s hybrid console too.

That being said, if you can look past some of the flaws of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there is plenty of fun to be had, but I think most fans are now eagerly awaiting the first game in the series on the Nintendo Switch successor.

In our review of Pokémon Scarlet, we said that it “delivered on the promise of an open-world entry, but with all the technical issues and stripped-back features, it’s hard to not feel like the Nintendo Switch held these games back".

The main developer of the Pokémon series on console, Game Freak, is no stranger to gifting players with free DLC for its games, especially when there’s a big event going on, such as the 2024 Pokémon North America International Championship.

As reported by DualShockers, that epic tournament recently concluded with Patrick Conners as its victor who used a shiny Pelipper as his main and to celebrate, you can claim this shiny water/flying-type for yourself right now.

However, you will need to act fast to avoid the feeling of disappointment of not claiming this glorious shiny Pokémon to be used in Scarlet and Violet.

To claim the free Shiny Pelipper, simply select ‘Poké Portal’ in-game and then choose ‘Mystery Gift’.

Now, select ‘Get with Code/Password’ and enter this code W1DEGUARDLA1C25 and finally, press ‘OK’ to confirm.

There you have it, the shiny Pelipper is now yours to keep forever.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are out now on the Nintendo Switch.
