Pokémon fans want just one thing from Nintendo, yet the publisher is far from forthcoming.

You’d think a Pokémon trailer would be a source of enjoyment for the fandom, but you’d be wrong.

Extremely wrong.

A surprise release of Pokémon games hasn’t quite been as well received as Nintendo was hoping for.

How do you feel about this Pokémon announcement?

Instead of being met with glee, it’s being met with a horde of displeased fans armed with barbs and sarcasm.

The deadliest weapons a gamer can wield.

Nintendo confidently declared, “You can play Pokémon Trading Card Game and many other classic titles from Game Boy, Super NES and NES with a Nintendo Switch Online membership.”

To which the predominant response was disbelief.

“Literally adding every Pokémon game except the ones we actually want to play,” remarked @frisby7143. “God, I hate Nintendo and Gamefreak sometimes.”

From there, the comment section keeps on giving, assuming you’re looking for annoyed fans who are tired of waiting.

YouTube user @Tucker64 said, “This trailer done us dirty.”

For some unknown reason, Nintendo is reluctant to give fans what they want: an accessible way to play Pokémon Gold and Silver.

They’re easily two of the most talked about titles from the franchise, yet there’s not a single port or remaster in sight.

It’s like catching smoke, only that’s a far simpler activity compared to getting these classics on the Switch.

“I don't think Nintendo understand that people will sell their SOUL to see Pokémon Silver's box art again,” commented @TanookyTeneka.

Considering how thrilled fans are to see Pokémon Gold and Silver return via a new release, you’d think Nintendo would have cottoned on by now.

Even if you’re one of the many disappointed players, try not to let your feelings keep you from playing some delightfully retro Pokémon experiences.
