The Nintendo Switch is celebrating the launch of yet another first-party title release, and is giving away freebies as part of the fun.
As of late, Nintendo fans have been drowning in freebies and yet the publisher refuses to stop the flow.
We’re not complaining, though as they’re related to some truly incredible games coming to both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 next year.
One such game launched today, and it’s none other than Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream. It’s the sequel we’ve all been waiting for and by “we”, we mean anyone who owned a Nintendo 3DS back in the day.
For those unfamiliar Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream is a life-sim that uses your own custom-made Miis.

It’s not an Animal Crossing killer but it’s not trying to be one, this is a more hands-off experience where you can direct and observe your Miis doing silly things, a bit like The Sims but with goofier voices and more random encounters.
Reviews have been positive so far and if you’re wondering where GAMINGbible’s thoughts on the game are just sit tight, we’re working on it.
From now until 13 May, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 owners can claim a wide variety of free icons based on the new Tomodachi Life game.
These spiffy additions to your icon library are some of the weirdest we’ve ever seen Nintendo throw out, ranging from tacos, tissues and a picture of a hedgehog.
We’d like to say it’ll all make sense if you play the game but Tomodachi Life isn’t really about making sense, as you’ll see if you decide to play the demo before buying the full game.

The icons themselves will be released in waves, which is a tad disappointing but a staggered release can be quite effective, especially for those obsessed with collecting these digital freebies.
The first wave is available right now, whereas the second will drop a week later on 22 April, then another the week after that and then another until they’ve all been dropped.
Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream is available to play now on your Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and if you did decide to play the demo, you’ll be no doubt glad to see your progress gets carried over to the full release.
