Nintendo has added yet another retro title to its growing collection.

Say what you want about the Nintendo Switch, it’s becoming a goldmine for those classic games we can’t easily play anymore.

Although many gamers are looking ahead to the launch of the Switch 2, and are already concerned about its battery life, there’s much to enjoy about the current Switch.

Granted, many of its features are feeling a little dated now, but we can overlook those when we have access to adventures like this 2001 release.

Joining the Game Boy Advance selection on Nintendo Switch Online is Wario Land 4.

Check out the NSO trailer for February

Much like previous instalments in the franchise, Wario Land 4 delivers colourful environments to platform through and a varying range of difficulty as you progress.

Upon its release, it received extremely positive reviews from critics, typically scoring at the higher end of an outlet’s review scale.

On Metacritic, it has a user score of 8.7 and a general score of 88; not too shabby at all for a 24 year old title.

For the cost of the expansion pass for NSO, you can enjoy the game for free (in the sense that you don’t have to pay for it individually).

Seeing as this is a big moment for GBA fans, Nintendo has added a sparkling new trailer and description for the game.

“It’s a fabulous golden pyramid filled with riches! Trouble is, its denizens don’t want to give up the treasure easily, but that hasn’t stopped Wario before! In Wario Land 4, the greedy hero finds himself no longer invincible, as in his previous platform adventures.”

The synopsis continues, “He can, however, undergo amazing transformations that aid him in his quest—like becoming Vampire Bat Wario, Bouncy Wario, and even Zombie Wario!”

Come on now, you’re interested, we can tell.

Download it for free and enjoy a trip back in time this weekend.
