Nintendo Switch's final major game isn't what we expected

That is going to be a struggle

Although the Nintendo Switch 2 release is rapidly approaching, the Nintendo Switch still has some life in it yet.

So much life, it seems, that it is set to welcome an unlikely release.

Despite the Nintendo Switch 2 not having been officially announced as of yet, we are pretty much certain that the updated handheld will make an appearance soon.

Check out the trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet below!

Rumoured to feature a lot more power than its predecessor, we can expect to see bigger and better titles added to it.

That includes Pokémon Generation 10.

This news comes courtesy of a massive leak that took place over the weekend which saw tons of information relating to the Pokémon series released.

As the result of developer Game Freak being hacked, we now know that there is a possibility that the next Pokémon generation could arrive on both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Although it is unsurprising that its titles will be added to the Nintendo Switch 2, it is a shock that the Nintendo Switch will also be welcoming it.

Especially considering previous entries, such as Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, did not run well on the hardware.

Reported by @necrolipe, Game Freak’s Generation 10 Pokémon titles are currently in the works under the codename “Gaia”.

Gaia has been uncovered in the leaks and will have links to both the Nintendo Switch and its successor.

However, with Generation 10 titles still very much in early development, all of this is subject to change.

Needless to say, pushing the next Pokémon title out on the Nintendo Switch 2 is a sure way to guarantee sales of the new handheld.
