We are very whelmed by this leaked Switch 2 game, you can make up your own mind whether you’re overwhelmed or underwhelmed, we’re staying on the fence.

Now the calendar has flipped over to 2025 we’re in the year that Nintendo will announce and reveal the Switch 2 and, hopefully, the first batch of games.

Gotham Knights explores a world where Batman is dead and other heroes step up to save Gotham

This rumour, or leak, comes from a YouTuber called Doctre81 who found a LinkedIn page from a developer who worked on Gotham Knights.

They posted on their account that the game would be coming to an “unannounced platform.”

Considering there’s only one new platform coming, that we’re all aware of, we can only assume that it’s the Nintendo Switch follow-up.

Gotham Knights appeared on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, but this will be the chance to bring the game over to Nintendo with the advent of more powerful hardware.

A version of the game was leaked back in 2023 but has since come to nothing, which has us thinking that a pause was put on the development there in favour of the Switch 2.

If this news plays out to be true, it could very well be one of the launch titles for the highly anticipated console.

Of course, we’ll have to wait until Nintendo finally shows the damn thing and gives us an idea of what games will drop on day one.

The reception to Gotham Knights was middling, but there will still be DC Comics fans who want to give it a whirl on the next Nintendo hybrid console.

Personally, I’m awaiting news on a new Mario or Zelda game with everyone else, but knowing that some developers are prepping their slightly older games does fill me with hope.

It’ll be great to see some of these recent titles get Switch 2 patches or rereleases.
