Nintendo Switch 2 leak promises GameCube remake we've longed for

Let’s face it, 2025 is all about the Nintendo Switch 2.

This is the year the new console is rumoured to launch, and with this news comes a plethora of speculation about what titles will be released.

Naturally, there is no end of classic games people want to see remade to herald in this new generation of gaming.

One GameCube adventure that may be getting a Switch 2 remake is Star Fox Adventures.

For those who weren’t alive when the game launched, it was deemed a huge success, with the reviews predominately praising its visuals.

While some had gripes about the game when compared with other titles from the franchise, the fact remains that many gamers would love to see this experience remade.

The so-called leak comes from reliable insider SamusHunter2.

Those of you who often delve deep into the numerous gaming leaks and rumours online will know the name well.

In a social media post on 31 December, SamusHunter2 shared a cryptic new year’s wish. They said, “I hope that 2025 will give fans of classic Zelda-like games a new Adventure to enjoy and that they will appreciate it despite being a game from another series.”

How does this refer to Star Fox Adventures? Well, many would argue that its gameplay was similar in nature to The Legend of Zelda.

What is more, the “Adventure” is capitalised, should you need a more obvious connection.

Nothing has been verified by Nintendo, and thus, once again, we must approach this leak like we do all others.

Still, while we can be rational about the legitimacy of this speculation, it’s not so easy to keep our hope in check.

As one fan remarked, such news is playing with our hearts; we so desperately want this leak to be true.
